Directors, Executive Officers and Advisors

John S. Salstrom, PhD, President, CEO, Chairman

Dr. Salstrom is a co-founder of Protectus Medical Devices, Inc. He has over forty years of experience with startup companies, mainly in biotechnology and medical technology. He served as Head of the Vector Development Program at Molecular Genetics, Inc., Research Director of the Molecular Biology and Human Healthcare Programs at Endotronics, Inc. and he was a co-founder and Vice President of Scientific Affairs at Helix BioCore, Inc., a company that went public during his tenure. He also co-founded and served as Director for Ganesh Energene Ltd. (Mumbai), an Indian joint venture company. Dr. Salstrom is a Microbiologist and Molecular Biologist by training, having received his BA from Miami University, his MS and PhD degrees from the University of Wisconsin, followed by a Postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University. He holds numerous academic honors and awards, several US and foreign patents and has to his credit numerous publications, articles and theses. Dr. Salstrom has held several research and teaching positions.


M. Timothy Musara, CPA, CGMA, VP of Operations, CFO and Director

Mr. Musara has held various senior management positions in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer of the District of Columbia where he was responsible for overseeing the annual budgets (nearly $2 Billion) and managing the financial operations for various agencies within the Education Cluster. Prior to joining the OCFO, Mr. Musara was a Transaction Services Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers primarily focused on providing buy side and sell side financial due diligence. Prior to that, Mr Musara served as Audit Manager at KPMG LLP in the commercial sector. Mr. Musara earned both his BBA and MBA degrees from Howard University and is a Member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Virginia Society of CPAs and the Government Financial Officers Association.


Ronald Stoker, Sales and Marketing Advisor

Executive Director/Founder of The International Sharps Injury Prevention Society. Mr. Stoker is a seasoned bioengineer and has worked in the medical device industry for over thirty years. As Senior Product Manager/Trainer for Bard Access systems, Merit Medical Systems, Utah Medical Products, Inc. and Catheter Technology Corporation, he was instrumental both in the development of new products, as well as in formulating marketing strategies for same. He successfully conducted training programs for medical personnel for these medical device companies as part of their internal marketing and medical outreach programs and, as a result, has established and maintained enduring relationships with hundreds of industry leaders and thousands of clinicians. Mr. Stoker served as Product Manager/Trainer at MediConnect Global. He was Executive Director and one of the Founders of the National Alliance for the Primary Prevention of Sharps Injuries, a key advocacy institution promoting use of safety products in the healthcare arena.


Mr. Stoker has received six patents on medical devices, has authored over 300 peer-reviewed articles in medical journals and has trained thousands of medical personnel on highly technical products. Mr. Stoker has been a frequent presenter at medical device congresses worldwide. Mr. Stoker will play a key role in the Company's Sales and Marketing program as the Company begins to introduce its lead product into US markets and establish relationships with buying groups and purchasing organizations. His keen eye for corporate positioning, PR and training as the basis for product launch will be vital to our success in our multi-dimensional approach to gain market share.


Dr. J. Daniel Hartley, Medical Director

Dr. Hartley was instrumental in obtaining 510 (k) clearance for the Protectus Safety Syringe from the FDA. Dr. Hartley is a Board Certified Physician and Surgeon and a Clinical Research Specialist with over thirty years' experience in Product Development, Clinical Trials, FDA Approvals and Regulatory Compliance, including Quality Control and Quality Assurance. Dr. Hartley is a graduate of Southern Illinois University (BS) and Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) in affiliation with the Northwestern University School of Medicine. Dr. Hartley will assist the Company with the development and roll-out of its four (4) additional products as it seeks 510(k) clearance from the US FDA.


Dr. M. Cornelious Musara, FACS, Medical Advisor

Dr. Musara is a Board Certified Surgeon and is a practicing minimally invasive and robotic general surgeon. In addition to serving as Medical Advisor to the Company, Dr. Musara is currently Associate Professor and Chief of Surgery at Trinity School of Medicine and is the senior partner at the Antares Surgical Solutions (Glen Burnie, Maryland). He has worked with various medical device companies to create innovative products for the surgical field. He received his medical degree at the prestigious Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine (Harare, Zimbabwe) and completed his internship at Michigan State University and his Residency at Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Musara has published various articles and is a member of several professional associations and societies. He is a frequently invited speaker and has numerous honors and awards to his credit. Dr. Musara will also assist the Company in accessing key domestic and international markets.


Michael D. Sheppard, Advisor to the Board

Mr. Sheppard is Chairman and CEO of Nevada Mining Company and Director of Investor Relations for Treasure Investments Corporation. He is a seasoned executive with over forty years of experience in executive positions with companies in various industries, including medical devices, financial services and manufacturing. He served as CEO of Atkinson Technologies that developed the innovative Mobile IV System, President of New Life Corporation of America and President of the National Community Foundation, having raised over $400 million for charities. He was Training & Development Coordinator for Firestone's 48 North American plants, while serving on several boards, including the American Cancer Society, the Physicians Resource Council, the United Way, the Family Foundation, and the Presidential Roundtable for President Bush. Mr. Sheppard received an Industrial Engineering degree from Miami University (Ohio) and an MBA from Wright State University.
